Los estudios sobre la muerte y los profesionales de la tanatoplastia: el contexto sociohistórico / Studies on death and tanatoplasty professionals: the sociohorical context

Resumen

Este póster muestra un análisis interpretativo de los estudios sociológicos sobre la muerte y sobre las profesiones y profesionales vinculados a ella, concretamente de las actividades de la tanatoplastia: tanatoestética y tanatopraxia. En España, las investigaciones sobre la muerte han quedado prácticamente excluidas de los espacios científicos, académicos y educativos, o han estado asociados tradicionalmente a los estudios de corte antropológico y sociodemográfico. Las investigaciones sobre los/as profesionales de la tanatopraxia y tanatoestética son inexistentes. En las relaciones histórico-culturales entre el mundo Atlántico, en España este hecho se contrapone a la larga trayectoria científica de algunos países Latinoamericanos que, históricamente, y especialmente desde el ámbito de la Antropología, si han profundizado sobre este fenómeno social, así como en los estudios de ciertas profesiones y profesionales de la muerte.

This poster shows an interpretative analysis of the sociological studies on death and on the professions and professionals linked to it, specifically on the activities of tanatoplasty: tanatoesthetics and tanatopraxia. In Spain, scientific research on death has been practically excluded from scientific, academic and educational spaces, or have been traditionally associated with anthropological and sociodemographic studies. The investigations on tanatoesthetics and tanatopraxia professionals are not existents. In historical-cultural relations between the Atlantic world, in Spain this fact is opposed to the long scientific trajectory of many Latin American countries that, historically, and especially from legal Anthropology, they have deepened on this social phenomenon, as well as the studies from death professionals.
