El sometimiento cultural del pueblo Mapuche por parte del estado chileno / The cultural submission of the Mapuche people by the chilean state

Resumen

En esta comunicación se pretende buscar las causas del denominado conflicto mapuche que se viene dando en forma violenta en las últimas décadas; para encontrar soluciones permanentes hay que resolver las causas. Para realizar este estudio se recurrirá a un paradigma cualitativo y a la metodología histórica, revisando fuentes primarias (documentos originales) y secundarias (seleccionar la vasta bibliografía existente sobre el tema). Se encontró que durante siglo y medio no se ha respetado su cultura e idiosincrasia, sometiendo a ese pueblo por la fuerza y educándolos en lengua española y no en su lenguaje vernáculo, haciéndoles perder a las nuevas generaciones su lengua y cultura. El estado de Chile no ha actuado cómo se debe con un pueblo originario y debe devolverle sus tierras y respetar su cultura para poder resolver el conflicto actual  y lograr paz.

In this communication it is intended to search the causes of the so-called Mapuche conflict that has been taking place in a violent way in recent decades; to find permanent solutions the causes must be solved. To carry out this study, a qualitative paradigm and historical methodology will be used, revising primary (original documents) and secondary sources (select the vast bibliography on the theme). It was found that for a century and a half their culture and idiosyncrasies have not been respected, submitting that people by force and educating them In the Spanish language and not in their vernacular language, making new generations lose their language and culture. The state of Chile has not acted as it should with an indigenous people and must return their lands to it and respect their culture in order to resolve the current conflict and achieve peace.
