Arte y artesanía. Un estudio de historia cultural fronteriza / Art and Crafts. A Study of Border Cultural History
Resumen
El Arte ha sido una invención cultural que involucra en sí misma un problema de inclusión-exclusión, poder-resistencia, igualdad-desigualdad, que involucra las esferas religiosas, políticas y económicas del poder. El Arte tal como hoy se conoce proviene del poder monárquico francés a través de la Académie Royale de Peinture et Sculpture (1648), dándose por iniciada la frontera con la artesanía. Desde los orígenes del ser humano hasta el Renacimiento, todas las obras culturales eran sensiblemente equilibrado en sus estados de valor utilitario (uso), valor afectivo (aprecio personal), y valor de intercambio (costo-beneficio), siendo creados por un grupo con especialidad artesanal. Debido a una nueva interpretación y valoración del «objeto apreciado» proveniente de una renovada monarquía europea con un horizonte cultural Occidental europeo, una parte de la artesanía se convertiría en Arte y símbolo de elitismo burgués, colonial e imperialista excluyendo a las «artes menores» y a quienes las elaboran.
Art has been a cultural invention that involves in itself a problem of inclusion-exclusion, powerresistance, equality-inequality, involving the religious, political and economic spheres of power. Art as it is known today comes from the French monarchical power through the Académie Royale de Peinture et Sculpture (1648), taking the frontier with crafts for granted. From the origins of the human being to the Renaissance, all cultural works were sensibly balanced in their states of utilitarian value (use), affective value (personal appreciation), and exchange value (cost-benefit), being created by a group with artisan specialty. Due to a new interpretation and valuation of the «cherished object» coming from a renewed European monarchy with a Western European cultural horizon, a part of the handicraft would become Art and symbol of bourgeois, colonial and imperialist elitism excluding the «minor arts» and those who elaborate them.
