Resumen

“El archipiélago canario en el contexto del bicentenario de las revoluciones iberoamericanas”, desentraña cómo se tejieron los hilos ideológicos del la independencia mexicana y de América, Y por supuesto la participación que tuvieron tanto Francisco de Miranda en Caracas como Antonio Franyuti en Veracruz; ambos, hijos de padres canarios. Adicionando a lo anterior, situamos a los héroes conocidos y anónimos que de alguna manera contribuyeron con su sangre e ideas, a la construcción de una novísima republica, que pugnaba por una justicia social. Con los ejemplos de canarios que se tocan, y de los que se han quedado en el tintero, afirmamos sin temor que para Canarias y América, el Atlántico nunca ha sido obstáculo, sino un puente, que ha unido un pasado de epopeya con un futuro de progreso, enlazando a nuestros pueblos en un destino común e inseparable.

“The Canary archipelago in the context of the bicentenary of the Latin-Ameri-can revolutions”, it uncovers since the ideological threads wove of the Mexican independence and of America, and certainly the participation that they had so much Francisco de Miranda in Caracas as Antonio Franyuti in Veracruz; both children of Canary parents. Adding to the previous thing, we place the known and anonymous heroes who somehow contributed with his blood and ideas, the construction of the newest republic, which was fighting for a social justice. With the examples of canaries that touch each other, and of those who have remained in the inkstand, we affirm without dread that for Canaries and America, the Atlantic Ocean has never been an obstacle, but a bridge, that it has joined a past of epic with a future of progress, connecting our villages in a common and inseparable destination.
