The disappearance of people during the Spanish CivilWar is one of the most difficult issues to research for ahistorian, due to the nature of the phenomenon and theloss of documents. In order to deal with this type ofresearch, in this article we revise the documentsources, archives, and the underlying methodology thatour research team has used in recent years to do aresearch into a dark phenomenon in our recent history.
