Resumen

En el presente trabajo, centraremos nuestra atención sobre dos puntos del máximo interés que no han sido convenientemente tratados. Por un lado, presentamos todos los testimonios conocidos de las endechas, poniendo de relieve que, frente a la unanimidad de la transmisión impresa, la transmisión manuscrita ofrece dos versiones métricas y alguna variante textual a tener en cuenta. Por otro lado, cuestionamos la cronología comúnmente aceptada, toda vez que la inclusión de la palabra Volcanes en el texto, hace inviable su creación a mediados del siglo XV. Hemos respetado escrupulosamente la ortografía, acentuación y puntuación de los originales consultados, ya sean impresos o manuscritos.

In this paper, we focus on two points of great interest that have not been properly treated. On the one hand, we show all the known testimonials of the endechas, highlighting that, given the unanimity of the printed transmission, manuscript transmission offers two metrical versions and some textual variant to consider. On the other hand, we question the commonly accepted chronology, since the inclusion of the word Volcanes in the text make not possible its inception in the mid-fifteenth century. We have scrupulously respected the spelling, accentuation and punctuation of the original documents consulted, whether printed or handwritten.
