La presente comunicación tiene como objetivo analizar el impacto de dos documentos reales expedidos durante el siglo XVIII: El Tratado del Asiento de negros consumado en Madrid el 26 de marzo de 1713 signado entre Inglaterra y España, y la Cedula Real de 1789 concediendo libertad para el comercio de negros, decretos que constituyeron la clave en la incursión sigilosa pero paulatinamente abierta de los británicos en los asuntos económicos, mercantiles y geomarítimos del nuevo continente americano.
The objective of this communication is to analyze the impact of two royal documents issued during the eighteen century. The agreement “Asiento de Negros” made in Madrid Spain on March 26th, 1713 signed between England, Spain, and the 1789 Royal Proclamation granting freedom to the Negro slave trade, decrees that was the key to open the silent but gradually to the British in the economic, commercial, and overseas shipments to the recently discovered American continent.
