Resumen
En el presente trabajo hacemos un repaso de la evolución histórica de la antigua torre de Santa Cruz de Mar Pequeña, desde su fundación en el siglo XV hasta la problemática en torno a su ubicación que se mantuvo a finales del siglo XIX, y mostramos las primeras apariciones de su topónimo en la cartografía del siglo XV, concretamente en los tres ejemplares más antiguos de cartas náuticas portuguesas que se conocen en la actualidad.
In the present work we make a review of the historical evolution of the old tower of Santa Cruz de Mar Pequeña, from its foundation in the 15th century to the problematic around its location that was maintained at the end of the 19th century, and we show the first appearances of its place name in the cartography of the 15th century, specifically in the three oldest examples of Portuguese nautical charts that are known today.
