Resumen

El presente artículo trata de exponer un estudio histórico-evolutivo de la ciudad de San Cristóbal de La Laguna, en Tenerife, no solo desde el estudio de los documentos y fuentes escritas, que han aportado numerosos datos, sino a través de una visión más técnica y constructiva de la arquitectura que la conforma y define. Las intervenciones arqueológicas en esta ciudad no han logrado aportar demasiada información en estas cuestiones, ya que se han ocupado, principalmente, del estudio de restos bajo la rasante, por lo que esta investigación pretende apoyar, en el futuro, la documentación existente con el estudio arquitectónico de los edificios pluriestratificados, para una lectura complementaria del desarrollo urbano de esta ciudad. / The present article aims to show one study of historical development that the city of San Cristóbal de La Laguna in Tenerife has undergone. This can be shown not only from the compilation of documents and written sources that provide extensive data, but from a more constructive and technical vision based on the architecture currently within the city. The archaeological interventions in this city have not been able to provide much information about these problems, as they mainly focus on the studies of the remains below the ground level. Therefore, this research aims to support all of the existing documents using the architectural study of pluriestratified buildings. This offers information that is cohesive with both disciplines in order to achieve a better understanding of the urban development of the city.
