Mujeres en la vanguardia de Tenerife: del grupo Pajaritas de papel a la revista Gaceta de Arte / Women in the avant-garde of Tenerife: from the group Pajaritas de papel to the magazine Gaceta de Arte

Resumen

Este artículo aborda la presencia y la actividad femenina en las manifestaciones artísticas y culturales de la vanguardia insular a través de dos iniciativas que tuvieron lugar en Tenerife entre los años 1928 y 1936: el grupo Pajaritas de Papel y la revista Gaceta de Arte. El objetivo principal de este estudio es poner en valor el papel que jugaron las mujeres dentro del contexto cultural de la vanguardia en Canarias, en unos años en los que hace su aparición la denominada nueva mujer o mujer moderna. / This paper analise the presence and the activity of women in the artistic and cultural manifestations of the island avant-garde through two initiatives that took place in Tenerife between 1928 and 1936: the group Pajaritas de Papel and the magazine Gaceta de Arte. The main objective of this study is to value the role played by women within the cultural context of the avant-garde in the Canary Islands, in a few years in which the called new women or modern women appears.
