El trabajo atiende brevemente a las líneas maestras de la construcción del naturalismo de escuela y su impacto en España alrededor de 1880. En diálogo con Leopoldo Alas, teórico y crítico del naturalismo en España, Benito Pérez Galdós fecunda su arte realista de la novela con varias aportaciones del discurso de Émile Zola (novelista, teórico y crítico) a propósito de diversos aspectos de la novela. / The present article analyzes the quintessential premises around which the naturalist school was constructed and its subsequent impact during the 1880s in Spain. In addition to the intimate dialogue with the Spanish naturalist theorist and critic Leopoldo Alas, Benito Pérez Galdós also enriches his realist novels with some of the Emile Zola’s discursive theories (novelist, theorist, critic) in correlation to a wide variety of features of his own novelistic production.
