El auge actual del cómic y de la novela gráfica ha abierto la puerta a una nueva forma de adaptación de obras literarias clásicas. Marianela, una de las novelas de Galdós más adaptadas, ha sido traducida por Rayco Pulido a este formato de manera fiel. Su obra explota aspectos que en el texto decimonónico quedaban esbozados y acerca el genio de Galdós al público de hoy. Pulido da un paso más al realizar una secuela ficticia que pone el foco en las consecuencias que la historia de Marianela tiene sobre Teodoro Golfín. / The current boom of comic and graphic novel has opened the door to a new way of adaptation of classic literary works. Marianela, one of the most adapted Galdós novels, has been translated faithfully by Rayco Pulido into this format. His works exploits aspects that were outlined in the nineteenth-century text and he brings the genius of Galdós to the today's audience. Pulido goes further when he makes a fictional sequel that focus on consquences that the story of Marianela has on Teodoro Golfín.
