¿UN CAPRICHO O UN CUENTO? GALDÓS Y GOYA: UNA RELACIÓN FANTÁSTICA A CAPRICE OR A TALE? / GALDÓS AND GOYA: A FANTASTIC RELATIONSHIP

Resumen

Benito Pérez Galdós y Francisco de Goya y Lucientes son dos de los virtuosos más conocidos e internacionales del panorama español. En sus respectivos ámbitos artísticos, estos dos creadores son considerados los referentes del inicio del arte moderno, no sólo por su estética, sino también por su pensamiento. A pesar de estar separados por casi cien años, las similitudes en su idiosincrasia son notables, aspecto en el que se centra el presente artículo, planteando un estudio comparativo y transversal gracias al análisis del cuento ¿Dónde está mi cabeza? de Pérez Galdós y el Capricho 43 de Goya. Abordando tanto el proceso creativo como las interpretaciones que han suscitado estas dos obras, se pretende poner de manifiesto la similitud de sus pensamientos. ¿Y si el capricho y el cuento mencionados tienen más puntos en común de lo que parece? / Pérez Galdós and Francisco de Goya y Lucientes are two of the best-known and most international artists on the Spanish scene. In their respective artistic spheres, these two creators are considered the benchmarks of the beginning of modern art, not only for their aesthetics, but also for their thinking. Despite being separated by almost a hundred years, the similarities in the idiosyncrasy of these artists are remarkable, an aspect on which this article focuses, proposing a comparative and cross-sectional study thanks to the analysis of the story ¿Dónde está mi cabeza? by Pérez Galdós and Capricho 43 by Goya. Both addressing the creative process and the interpretations that these two works have given rise to, the aim is to highlight the similarity of their thoughts. What if the whim and the story mentioned have more points in common than it seems?
