LA RECEPCIÓN EDITORIAL Y AUDIOVISUAL EN ALEMÁN DE DOÑA PERFECTA, DE BENITO PÉREZ GALDÓS / THE EDITORIAL AND AUDIOVISUAL RECEPTION IN GERMAN OF DOÑA PERFECTA BY BENITO PÉREZ GALDÓS

Resumen

Con esta ponencia deseamos presentar la recepción en lengua alemana de una de las novelas más importantes de Benito Pérez Galdós, así como una de las más traducidas a otros idiomas: Doña Perfecta. Dado que el propio autor realizó en 1890 una versión teatral de la novela publicada en 1886, su recepción, además de por las traducciones, se valorará por sus representaciones teatrales en alemán o las películas basadas en dicha obra, también los doblajes y subtitulados de las películas realizadas en lengua española.
Asimismo, enmarcaremos el análisis de las traducciones y la recepción audiovisual de la obra citada en el conjunto de las traducciones al alemán de las obras de Benito Pérez Galdós, las cuales dan la medida de la importancia del autor en la recepción del conjunto de las letras españolas en el ámbito germano-parlante. Dicho aspecto ya se puso de relieve en el seminario “Galdós traducido”, que se celebró en noviembre de 2020 en la Casa-Museo Pérez Galdós con el objeto de analizar el impacto internacional de la obra del escritor grancanario. / The aim of this paper is to present the reception in German of one of the most important novels by Benito Pérez Galdós, as well as one of the most translated into other languages, Doña Perfecta. As the author himself produced in 1890 a theatrical version of the novel published in 1886, its reception, in addition to the translations, will be also assessed both through its stage representations in German and the films based on this work. The dubbing and subtitling of the original films in Spanish will be included as well. Likewise, the analysis of the translations and audiovisual reception of the aforementioned work will be framed in the context of the German translations of Benito Pérez Galdós’ works. The number of translations provides a measure of the importance of this author in the global reception of Spanish literature in the German-speaking world. This fact was already highlighted in the seminar "Galdós in translation", held in November 2020 at the Pérez Galdós Museum with the aim of analyzing the international impact of the work of the writer from Gran Canaria.
