LOS EPISODIOS NACIONALES DE GALDÓS EN EL IMAGINARIO LITERARIO FASCISTA: MADRID, DE CORTE A CHEKA DE AGUSTÍN DE FOXÁ / THE EPISODIOS NACIONALES BY GALDÓS IN THE FASCIST LITERARY IMAGINARY: MADRID, DE CORTE A CHEKA BY AGUSTÍN DE FOXÁ

Resumen

Que los Episodios Nacionales de Benito Pérez Galdós han ejercido una notable influencia en la narrativa posterior es un hecho consabido por críticos e historiadores de la literatura. Sin embargo, muchas veces se relegan a un segundo plano diversos aspectos relacionados con el estilo que pueden esclarecer las relaciones que se establecen entre la obra galdosiana y los testimonios literarios de otros autores. Debido a esto, se ofrece aquí un comentario de lo grotesco en el episodio galdosiano El terror de 1824 con el fin de establecer nuevas relaciones con ese otro «Episodio nacional» escrito durante la guerra civil: Madrid, de Corte a cheka, de Agustín de Foxá. El uso de lo grotesco en estos dos testimonios permite establecer conclusiones esclarecedoras sobre el estilo adoptado por parte de los dos autores y la dimensión ideológica de las dos obras. / That the Episodios Nacionales of Benito Pérez Galdós have exerted a notable influence on later narrative is a fact known by critics and historians of literature. However, many aspects related to the style that can clarify the relationships between the Galdosian work and the literary testimonies of other authors are relegated to second place. Due to this, an analysis of the grotesque in the Galdosian episode El terror de 1824 is offered here in order to establish new relationships with that other «Episodio Nacional» written during the civil war: Madrid, de Corte a cheka, by Agustín de Foxá. The use of the grotesque in these two testimonies allows us to establish insightful conclusions about the style adopted by the two authors and the ideological dimension of the two works.
