Resumen

Una obra clásica vence al tiempo y, por supuesto, posee valor en cualquier época que se lea. Es lo que ocurre con Doña Perfecta. Sin embargo, los contextos históricos van cambiando, y con ellos incluso el significado de los conceptos. Desde este siglo xxi, precisamos algunas consideraciones que, creemos, deben tenerse en cuenta para interpretar en su mejor medida el discurso ideológico y estético de esta novela galdosiana.

Any classical work survives time and will retain its value any time it is read. This very fact happens to Doña Perfecta, however historical contexts change and even concepts and meanings do so. In this study, from the Twentieth Century, we precise some new considerations to be taken into account in order to interpret the ideological and esthetic discourse of this Galdós novel at its best.
